  Rustic French Toast

Serves 4


  • 8 slices from Pullman Loaf (video coming soon!)
  • 3 eggs or equivalent in reconstituted Ova Easy Egg Crystals
  • 3 tablespoons coconut sugar
  • 1/2 can evaporated milk (8 ounces)
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided (3 for cooking, 1 for serving)
  • Maple syrup
  • Powdered sugar


  1. In large, wide bowl, mix egg crystals with water (water quantity per instructions on the package), or beat 3 fresh eggs.
  2. Add sugar, and whisk well to dissolve sugar.
  3. Add milk and whisk in thoroughly.
  4. Add pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and salt, and mix well.
  5. Preheat large skillet over medium heat, and add butter to it.
